Google Maps
Google Maps can be added to your web site and customised to start at your choice of location. Optional marker points can be positioned on the map and when clicked on these can display additional information such as place names, web links and photos.
In the example shown above we have used a Google Map to show the locations of Numidie Bistro, Joanna's and Lorenzo. Clicking on a marker point shows additional information about each restaurant.
Maps can be used to show the locations of shops and offices, clients and projects. A high quality local map is a useful enhancement to your contact details page. Viewing the map requires a modern web browser such as Firefox, and Javascript. On Google's web site the maps are shown next to search results from Google Local.
Google Maps is available free of charge. You will need to apply for an API Key to activate the service. The Google Maps API also provides advanced support for further customisation and integration with databases. Quotes can add a Google Map to your web site upon request.
