0800 Numbers
An 0800 number is a nationally recognised non-geographic marketing number. The caller does not pay for the phone call and is unaware of the underlying local code of the number dialled. Some mobile networks have additional call charges on 0800 numbers but for most callers the cost of the call is free. One of the added benefits of using one of these numbers, other than the freedom to choose your own number, is the higher response rates when used in advertising, because callers are more likely to dial a Freephone Number than any other type of dialling code.
